Mission

The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) Center for Scholarships strives to collaborate with our academic partners to address financial and other barriers to higher education and degree completion. Our center focuses on increasing student awareness of scholarship opportunities, mentoring students through the scholarship process, addressing food insecurity, and providing financial wellness programming. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible, and inclusive services that promote the recruitment, retention, and career-readiness of students.

Vision

To support the Universities at Shady Grove’s vision of achieving debt-free graduation for all undergraduate students who attend programs offered at USG through the creation of efficient and streamlined financial resource processes that are accessible to all students. To offer the resources and skills students need to become and stay financially well both during their educational journey and as they embark upon their careers.
