Continuing with USG DSS

Students at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) who have previously registered for DSS must first obtain their new semester accommodation letter from their home campus DSS offices. To continue to receive your accommodations, complete the following steps:

  1. Email your new semester accommodation letter to usg-disAbility@umd.edu prior to the start of classes. If you need to obtain a new letter for the semester, you may request one from your home campus by visiting shadygrove.umd.edu/dssregister.
  2. During your first week of classes, inform professors of your accommodations and provide them with a copy of your accommodation letter.
  3. Schedule your exams through shadygrove.umd.edu/testrequest at least seven days beforehand. You MUST submit a new request for EACH exam, and you can schedule all your tests in advance once you know the dates/times.
  4. Students will receive testing appointment confirmation emails to your email address that you registered with on wconline. Please ensure on your wconline profile under "Profile & Communication Options" that the email options are turned on.
