USG Students Take ‘Gloves-On’ Approach to Flu Prevention

As people flock to Montgomery County’s free flu vaccination clinics this fall, University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Nursing and School of Pharmacy students at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) in Rockville will gain valuable patient experience administering the vaccines at one of the County’s appointment-only clinics. This year’s seasonal flu vaccine will protect against the H1N1 virus along with two common influenza strains, so separate vaccinations aren’t necessary.

The clinic on the USG campus in Rockville will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 4-7 p.m.
