Bloorview Kids Rehab is a world-class Academic Health Sciences Centre fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, serving children with disabilities and complex medical needs. As Canada's largest pediatric rehabilitation teaching hospital, we are leading the way in clinical care, teaching and research in childhood disability.

Our new strategic plan, Infinite Possibilities 2007-2012, sets out the ambitious goal of becoming a global leader in improving the lives of children and youth with disabilities and their families. A foundational element of our plan is the creation of two new academic Centres, whose aim it to improve knowledge generation and sharing and lead internationally in the fields of Child Development and Participation.

Centre for Participation
The focus of this Centre builds on Bloorview's renowned life skills and arts-based programs and services. Based on the premise that the inclusion of kids with disabilities at home, school and in the community is critical to their wellbeing, research in this program will focus on social, physical and policy barriers to inclusion.

You will lead research focusing on participation and inclusion within the Centre and develop an independent program of research of international caliber.
