The Career & Internship Services Center (CISC) offers career advising to USG students as they prepare for an internship or job search. Working in partnership with each home institution, the CISC provides an additional layer of support to students on the Universities at Shady Grove campus. Through individual advising sessions, group workshops and events, and virtual resources such as the USG Career Connector, students can receive assistance on career-related topics:
- Resume & Cover Letter Writing
- Job Search Strategies
- Interview Preparation
- Networking
- Internship opportunities
In addition, the CISC offers employers several opportunities to recruit USG students for internships and for employment. Through campus visits and through use of the USG Career Connector, our web-based job posting system, employers can advertise current internship or employment openings, review student resumes, and showcase their industry or company.
Students can
- Search jobs that were targeted directly to the students located at USG
- Use the NACELink Extended Job Search tool to explore over 2 million jobs across the US
- Create an online profile and upload resumes and other supporting documents
- View the calendar of upcoming "Employer of the Day" Events and other career related events

The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) offers a variety of ways to assist students in their Career Services Development needs. Career services provides students with assistance and resources onsite at the Shady Grove Center and provides linkage to services available at student's home institution.

The USG Career & Internship Services Center offers employers several opportunities to recruit USG students for internships and employment, and to market their companies to the USG student community.
Employers can visit the USG campus and participate in "Employer of the Day" events and other activities to showcase their industry or company, and current internship and/or employment openings.
