B.S. in Construction Management Technology

Program Information

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore's (UMES) Construction Management Technology program at Montgomery College and the University System of Maryland's (USM) Universities at Shady Grove is an upper division program providing a part-time curriculum plan of study in construction management technology. The goal of this program, accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), is the preparation of well-educated professionals for challenging careers in the construction industry. Students must complete 126 semester credits of
designated coursework including a supervised internship for the Bachelor of Science degree. (Lower division: 62 credits. Upper division: 64 credits.)

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission at the upper division, a student must have an Associate's degree or must have completed 56 semester credits from an accredited institution of higher education. The student must have at least a cumulative grade point average of "C" (2.0) in all previous work. Courses for lower division credits should include studies in the areas of construction or related fields, business, English, mathematics, biological and physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences and arts and humanities for transfer into the baccalaureate program. UMES fully
ascribes to the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) transfer regulations.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition rates for programs offered at the Universities at Shady Grove are those of the degree-granting institution. Financial aid is awarded by the institution offering the degree program, but facilitated by the USG Office of
Student Services.
