USG Wins the "Innovation in Public Service State Agency Award"

The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) has received the "Innovation in Public Service State Agency Award" from the Maryland Chapter of the American Society of Public Administration (ASAP). The award recognizes USG's leadership in energy and environmental design, exemplified in the highly successful sustainable design and construction practices used to plan and construct the LEED gold certified Camille Kendall Academic Center.

USG was acknowledged for the intensive and collaborative design process utilized to create the largest "green" education building in the state of Maryland. The award was presented to USG Executive Director, Stewart Edelstein, at ASAP's 2009 Maryland Public Service Innovations in Government Conference in Baltimore.
