Inter-Library Loan for Books

Inter-Library Loan (ILL) service allows faculty, students, and staff affiliated with USG to get books that are not available through the USMAI Catalog. ILL books come from libraries outside of the USMAI system. Before considering ILL, check the USMAI catalog to determine if the book you need is available at any of the USMAI libraries.

Inter-Library Loan for Articles

Articles that are not available electronically or in print at the Priddy Library or at your home institution library may be requested through ILL.

Articles that are only available in print at the home institution library can also be requested through ILL. This service is limited to faculty, staff and students at USG and provided by your home institution library.

Requesting an Inter-Library Loan

You must go through your home institution library to request an ILL item. You will need to follow the instructions on your institution's ILL page. In addition to your 14-digit library barcode number, you may need to use your student ID and password to access ILLiad, the Inter-Library Loan database. First-time users may need to create an account to access ILLiad.

IMPORTANT: ILL book requests require you to indicate in the note field of the request form the location you prefer for pickup of the book. The location may be the “Shady Grove Library” (Priddy Library) or your home institution library.
