Geriatric Nurse Care Manager
Debra Levy Eldercare Associates, Inc.
Kim began her career with a BS degree in
Horticulture, specializing in Horticulture Therapy. She
assisted seniors in various settings to experience the
joys of gardening, and also worked as an employment coach
with developmentally disabled adults. Having enjoyed working
with these populations so much, Kim pursued a second career
in nursing. Kim earned her BSN degree with High Honors
from the University of Maryland and has worked as a medical-surgical
and telemetry nurse at a local hospital. She loves to read,
garden, and enjoy the outdoors.
Other info about myself: I am passionate about eating well, and in the
process of doing so I have learned to cook colorful, healthy meals. I am
passionate about Maryland Farmer's Markets, and was very sad that they are now
closed for the winter. I educate my friends and family on eating well,
and promoting their health. I enjoy gardening, traveling, reading, hiking,
spending time with family and friends; 2 siblings, one here in MD, one in Texas,
I have 2 nieces, 1 nephew. My mother is also a nurse, with her BSN from
Univ. of Maryland (pre-USG), and the positive difference she was making in others'
lives as a nurse inspired me to pursue a second degree--USG made it more doable
and enjoyable.
