University of Maryland University College

UMUC is unlike any other institution of higher education in the world.
It is preeminent in providing educational opportunities for adults worldwide, enrolling more than 75,000 students and confering more than 5,000 academic degrees annually. Every year, UMUC holds commencement ceremonies in College Park, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Tokyo, Okinawa and Seoul. For 60 years, the University has fulfilled its principal mission: to serve adult, part-time students through high-quality educational opportunities.

UMUC offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees', certificates; and personal and professional development programs that respond to the needs of the lifelong learner. Degree programs are primarily in arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, business and management, computing, education and technology. In addition, UMUC offers a professional doctoral degree in management.

The third and fourth years of the undergraduate programs and the entire graduate programs listed here can be completed through the Shady Grove
Center either face-to-face or online. The courses are offered on a
rotating basis. Many more courses are offered at the Shady Grove Center which can be used to fulfill other degree or certificate requirements.
