UMUC is unlike any other institution of higher education in
the world.
It is preeminent in providing educational opportunities for adults
worldwide, enrolling more than 75,000 students and confering
more than 5,000 academic degrees annually. Every year, UMUC holds
commencement ceremonies in College Park, Heidelberg, Mannheim,
Tokyo, Okinawa and Seoul. For 60 years, the University has fulfilled

UMUC offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees', certificates; and personal and professional development programs that respond to the needs of the lifelong learner. Degree programs are primarily in arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, business and management, computing, education and technology. In addition, UMUC offers a professional doctoral degree in management.
The third and fourth years of the undergraduate programs and
the entire graduate programs listed here can be completed through
the Shady Grove
Center either face-to-face or online. The courses are offered
on a
rotating basis. Many more courses are offered at the Shady Grove
Center which can be used to fulfill other degree or certificate
requirements.
