University of Maryland, Baltimore
The University of Maryland, Baltimore is the state's public academic health and law university devoted to professional and graduate education, patient care and public service. UMB educates leaders in health care delivery, biomedical science, social services and law. The University of Maryland Baltimore is comprised of six professional schools and an interdisciplinary graduate school that educate students in dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and social work. The University of Maryland School of Nursing was established in 1889 by Louisa Parsons, a student of Florence Nightingale, and is ranked among the top ten nursing schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report.

Masters level core courses, and courses for selected clinical specialty tracks at the graduate level are offered at the Shady Grove Center, using a cohort model. The graduate admissions counselor from the Baltimore Campus is available for onsite advising at Shady Grove, by appointment.
