Facilities

The Universities of Shady Grove (USG) Conference and Event Services is contained within two facilities located on 50 acres at the intersection of Darnestown and Shady Grove Roads, with meeting space totaling 22,000 square feet.

The following facilities, located in USG's Education Buildings 1 and 2, are available for rent:

Classrooms

Classrooms have a capacity of 22-64 people. Every classroom contains the following equipment:

Overhead projector, drop down screen, dry erase board, flip chart/easel, analog and digital internet connections (at an additional charge).
The following equipment is available in some rooms and can be requested:
Internet at every desktop, mounted TV/VCR, mounted LCD projector.

Computer Labs

Computer labs contain up to 30 desks with instructor stations. Computers are desktop PCs containing Windows 2000 as a basic operating system. Additional custom software can be loaded for training use.

Auditorium

Our 300-seat auditorium contains an 18' x 36' stage and a state-of-the-art video projection system with rear screen projection. The system is very easy to use and includes carousel slide projectors. VCR, DVD and CD players are also available.

Multipurpose room

The 9,000 square foot multipurpose room is available for rent and can be broken up in to five separate areas with removable partitions.
