University at Shady Grove's Touchscreen Featured at GreenBuild 2008 Conference
The University Shady Grove's new interactive touchscreen panel was recently featured
at the GreenBuild Conference, held November 19-21 in Boston. GreenBuild is an annual
conference sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council where thousands of industry
experts and building professionals from around the world come together to discuss new
sustainable strategies and initiatives.
Shady Grove's touchscreen panel features live, up-to-the-minute data on energy, natural
gas and water usage in the Camille Kendall Academic Center. Other features include an
interactive LEED(r) checklist, an animated display of our HVAC system, live weather
data, and eco-friendly features throughout the campus. This new technology is located in
the lobby of Building III. Stop by and try it out to find out more about our green
campus.
This new touchscreen panel was developed with the help of Quality Attributes, of Ames,
Iowa.
