Make sure to mention that you have a UID number, and have it ready
After an initial screening, a referral specialist will research which care professionals are most appropriate for your family (and currently have openings), and send you an electronic profile of 3-4 providers with the most up to date information. The specialist can also provide educational materials and strategies to help you with your selection. If none of the providers meet your needs, the specialist will locate additional ones for you.

Free Preschool: Children who are 4 years old by September 1 from low-income families can enroll in free Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Pre-Kindergarten and Head Start programs. You can contact them at call (301) 230-0676.

Child Care Scholarship (CCS)
(Formally known as the Child Care Subsidy) Offers child care subsidies to provide assistance with child care costs to eligible working parents in Maryland. There are income requirements and you do have to fill out an application. You can contact them at 1-866-243-8796.

Offers child care subsidies to provide assistance with child care costs to income-eligible parents working 35 hours or more a week.

Montgomery College Child Care Services
USG provides referrals to students who need child care to Montgomery College's nearby child care services located at the Germantown Campus. Participating students may enroll their children for full- or half-day programs and are given a reduced "student rate" for this service. Generation Hope Scholar Program

Generation Hope provides financial and caregiving support for student parents 25 years old and younger. Offering acces to tutoring and mentoring, career readiness support, free mental health support, and family-oriented events and caretakers, this program is a great resource for parents looking to continue their journey through education.
