How to Get Interested When You're Not: Motivation

Take your motivation from a "1" to a "10" and conquer procrastination! This workshop gives you techniques to manage your level of interest in what you are studying and to become interested in subjects that make you feel discouraged, overwhelmed, or bored. The techniques taught in this workshop can also apply to test anxiety, presentations, and other challenging situations. A SPDAP Training Workshop

Jody Gan from SPDAP will be hosting a workshop to give a brief overview of the Maryland Senior Prescription Drug Assistance Program that helps seniors in MD pay for their Medicare Part D premiums, as well as assist them when they've fallen into the "doughnut hole." This workshop covers some basic APA guidelines for developing a complete and proper reference page. Students are encouraged to bring in their sources or drafts of reference pages. Now that you've put together a draft with strong ideas and a logical argument, don't let parallel structure, subject/verb agreement, or run-ons steal your writing's thunder! In this workshop, you will learn about common grammatical errors and how to identify errors in your own writing. Practice examples will help you to put a real polish on your final draft. International Night DRESS REHERSAL!

Before the big day there is a big dress rehearsal! All participants of the fashion show and talent performances for this year's annual International Night must attend. YOGA IS AT THE CRC!
Certified yoga instructor Andrea Creel will begin leading 60 minute yoga sessions beginning November 10th, 2009! The cost for CRC members is $5 per session or $20 for a package of five sessions.  Non-members may sign up at $5 per session or $22.50 for a package of five sessions. Got Talent? Got Fashion? SEB Wants YOU for International Night!
The Student Event Board (SEB) is looking for students to strut their stuff on the catwalk during the fashion show and sport their cultural talent at this year's annual event...International Night! The event is being held November 19 in the SG 2 multipurpose room, but auditions are underway now! Any interested students can contact SEBatUSG@umd.edu.
