Priority Deadline
As many financial aid programs have limited funds, it is critical that students apply early for financial aid. While USG participants will be considered for as much aid as possible, students should make every effort to meet both their institutional priority deadline as well as the State of Maryland's deadline (MD residents only). Priority filing deadlines for the academic year are as follows:
Bowie State University
Student Aid Report must be submitted to school by April 1
Institutional Scholarship Application by April 15
Towson University
FAFSA and all documents must be received by March 1
University of Maryland Baltimore
FAFSA must be received at Federal Processor by March 15
UMBC
FAFSA and all documents must be received at Federal Processor by March 1
University of Maryland, College Park
FAFSA must be received at Federal Processor by February 15
University of Maryland Eastern Shore
FAFSA and all documents must be received by March 1
University of Maryland University College
FAFSA and all documents must be received by:
June 1 for Fall semester
November 1 for Spring semester
April 1 for Summer semester
Maryland State Deadline
FAFSA must be postmarked by March 1
Please note that while students who meet priority deadlines will be given priority consideration for funding, students may continue to apply for financial aid for the academic year throughout the year until June 30. While the majority of aid will depend on fund availability, Federal Pell Grants and Stafford Loans are guaranteed to all students who qualify.
