M.Ed. in Special Education

Towson University is pleased to offer a Master's of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG).  This program is designed for students who are already certified to teach and are seeeking an additional teacher certification in Special Education.  Typically based on the student's current certification area, students may enroll in one of three tracks:  Special Education- Early Childhood Education (birth-grade
, Special Education- Elementary/Middle Education (grades 1-8) or Special
Education- Secondary Education
(grades 9-12).

The M.Ed. in Special Education is a cohort program that follows a specific course sequence and timeframe for completion. New cohorts begin in the fall of ODD-numbered years ONLY.
