Position Description:

This position provides administrative support to the Director of Development and Community Partnerships and the Director of Marketing and Communications. Incumbent must interact effectively with business and community leaders, Universities at Shady Grove (USG) partner institution offices and representatives and members of advisory and policy committees of USG.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Development and Community Partnerships and the Director of Marketing and Communications, including prioritizing and scheduling requests for appointments, prepares correspondence, makes arrangements for meetings and trips, coordinates workflow of reports, assignments and committees, keeping files and records, and obtains information and materials as needed.

Collects, compiles, and organizes data pertinent to various ongoing studies. Analyzes, summarizes, and communicates this information to appropriate officials. Assists in the preparation of final reports (i.e. marketing and/or development plans), recommendations, and other information resources for the improvement of the organizational structure and development programs. Updates and maintains contact management database.

Assists in planning and coordinating administrative activities of marketing and development programs, such as assisting in the formulation and preparation and maintenance of the organization's budgets, and program proposals.

Consults with both program directors and administrative officials regarding policies, trends, and interpretation of data and program needs following specific instructions.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred with 2 years of administrative experience. Elementary knowledge of reference and research methods and techniques used in collecting, compiling, and organizing data and information; of basic methods and techniques used in organizing and conducting studies and analyses or programs, procedures, and organizations; of basic analytical and statistical principles and techniques. Skill in the use of office automation software and its application; in operating manual and automated office equipment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; to present ideas and information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; to perform mathematical computations; to present statistical material in chart and graph form.
